All volunteers over 18 are welcome to join our business ambassador volunteer list. We find that the students often relate well to younger volunteers who are closer in age to themselves but that those with a wealth of experience are also extremely valuable when helping young people to make decisions.
Our volunteers don’t need to be confident public speakers, just able to talk to students about the job that they do and their experiences getting there – real life careers stories can be extremely motivating.
It really is incredibly easy to sign up as a volunteer for one of our employability activities in schools and we have many volunteers who return regularly because of the enjoyment they get from interacting with the students.
Ideas4Careers are to be congratulated on this innovative approach, they clearly understand how important it is to give students the tools to gain meaningful employment. I will be glad to help at future events. Nottinghamshire Constabulary
